1989 Honda XL600V Transalp
This is a fantastic example having been meticulously restored by its current owner. It was a ground up rebuild, with parts and some of the labour coming to a total of £6,481, this doesn’t include the initial purchase price of the bike or most of the labour hours put into the project. The list of works is extensive but as a brief rundown its had everything from a full engine rebuild and refinish, new rims/spokes/tyres and wheel rebuild, new shock and fork rebuild, brakes refurbished, all pivots and linkages rebuilt with new wearing parts, full repaint plus much more. There are stacks of paperwork with it along with a spreadsheet detailing the work and costs involved.
Hopefully the pictures tell the story, it’s in fabulous condition throughout. The rebuild was carried out through 2023 through to 2025 and has been on the road and used by the owner since then. It fires up easily and runs perfectly, it wants for nothing and is ready to be used, but equally would hold its own sat in any collection of modern classics.
It’s a UK bike from new, 7 former keepers and 35k miles on the…although the mileage is largely irrelevant due to the rebuild.
